Job summary

Restaurant Technologies is seeking a Service Technician to install and service our bulk cooking oil management equipment at customer sites. You will install core products for new customers and help train staff through troubleshooting and servicing.

You will also service existing customers, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate with team members to meet timelines. The role may include night installations depending on demand.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• DOT-regulated vehicle operation with pre-employment drug testing.
• Team oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical and/or electrical duties.
• Strong customer focus and positive handling of difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain our products in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
• Meet and control service labor per hour, first time right, and 5S standards.
• Comply with DOT, OSHA, HACCP, and internal procedures.
• Maintain proper parts and supplies in service vehicles and paperwork.
• Communicate with customers to ensure product performance meets expectations.
• Train and coach customers on the system as needed.
• Utilize iPhone apps for parts, notes, and clocking in/out.
• Night installation work may be required based on demand.

The Service Technician plays a critical role in the success of Restaurant Technologies. Our Service Technicians are responsible for the installation and servicing of our advanced equipment in locations throughout the food service industry. As a Service Technician with Restaurant Technologies, you’ll install our core products for new customers and assist with customer training through troubleshooting and servicing. For existing customers, you will be responsible for service, repair, and routine maintenance.

  • The pay for this position is $30 per hour. Shift differential may also apply, and the position is also eligible for a quarterly bonus of up to $5,200 per year.

  • The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday. You will work five 8-hour shifts each week, from 6:00 A.M. until 2:30 P.M.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

• Responsible for installing and maintaining our products in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
• Meet and control operational goals and timelines- service labor per hour, first time right, 5S standards, etc.
• Comply with internal processes and procedures as well as all local and federally regulated requirements including DOT, OSHA, and HACCP.
• Maintain proper parts and supply levels in company service vehicles and proper paperwork standards.
• Communicate with customers to ensure product performance meets customers’ expectations.
• Efficiently and professionally service customers’ needs, training and coaching them on the system as needed.
• Utilize iPhone apps to perform multiple functions in role (parts, customer notes, clocking in/out)
• The position may include night installation work; the schedule will vary based on customer demand & install schedule.

Education, Requirements & Competencies:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• This position requires the operation of a DOT-regulated vehicle, and candidates will be subject to passing a DOT-mandated pre-employment drug test. Please be advised, a positive result for any controlled substance will disqualify applicants; including marijuana (THC), even if it is legal under state or local law.
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Ability to problem solve customer issues for installation and service
• Ability to perform basic mechanical and/or electrical duties
• Strong customer focus and ability to respond to challenging customer situations in a positive manner
• Must meet Restaurant Technologies’ Fleet Safety requirements and maintain a clean driving record
• Ability to carry 50 pounds by hand
• Unrestricted ability to bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn and reach out
• Ability to climb up and down a ladder as high as 20 feet in the air
