Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Service Technician to sit onsite at an Electric Vehicle client in Plainview, NY. You will diagnose, maintain and repair vehicles, with a focus on EV/HEV systems and powertrains.

The role requires hands-on expertise, ASE certifications (A4–L4) within 6–8 months of hire, and EPA 609 certification. You will work with high and low voltage systems and customer-facing communication, with MS Office and DMS software experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as an automotive service technician, with EV/HEV diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of High Voltage and Low Voltage systems and EV powertrains.
• Strong written and verbal communication for customer interactions.
• EPA 609 Certification and willingness to complete CPR training post hire.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair electric vehicles on site at Plainview client.
• Work with EV/HEV systems and powertrains and high/low voltage components.
• Complete required ASE certifications within 6–8 months; CPR training post hire.
• Utilize MS Office and learn proprietary DMS software.

Insight Global is seeking a Service Technician to sit onsite at an Electric Vehicle client in Plainview, NY. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining and repairing vehicles. You will demonstrate your passion for sustainable transportation and creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment. As a Service Technician, it is expected to have ASE certifications obtained within 6-8 months of hire date. The client will reimburse the cost associated with successful completion.(This role can pay $31 - 43/hr depending on years of experience and certifications),

Skills and Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience as an automotive service technician, including previous experience with EV/HEV diagnosis and repair
• Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Low Voltage systems, and Electric Vehicle powertrains
• Customer facing experience exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use applications such as Microsoft Office as well as learn proprietary DMS software
• EPA 609 Certification
• Willingness to complete provided CPR training post hire
• Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year. (Drivers under 21 must have maintained a Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Client Training upon hire)
• ASE Certifications (A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, L3, L4 - ADAS)
• Experience in luxury automobile repair environments
