Job summary

Ameriserve is seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service a variety of commercial kitchen equipment and HVAC systems. You will travel to client sites and ensure optimal functionality while upholding safety and industry standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of hands-on repair experience, excellent communication, and a customer-focused attitude. A company vehicle is provided and ongoing training is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years' experience in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and travel frequently.
• EPA 608 and CFESA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment and HVAC systems.
• Support clients by testing equipment and resolving requests promptly.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers per company guidelines.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a variety of commercial kitchen appliances and systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, walk-in coolers/freezers, dish machines, fryers, mixers, tilt skillets, and HVAC systems
• Support the client: Oversee all network services and perform tests on equipment and circuits. Troubleshoot issues and resolve any requests or concerns that come up in a timely manner. Perform tests to ensure systems are error-free
• Customer Service: Maintain relationships with customers and follow company guidelines
• Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and gas-related issues with commercial kitchen equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree or certification preferred
• Experience a minimum of 2–5 years in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment
• Ability to build strong relationships with the customer and display excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage your workflow in a timely and consistent manner
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
• Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Preferred relevant certifications such as EPA 608, CFESA (Commercial Food Equipment Service Associate) in gas, electrical, steam, refrigeration, or electrical
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record as outlined with our company policy
• Must be able to pass a satisfactory background and drug screening
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Knowledgeable about all safety requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 to 75 pounds; frequently lift and or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and heavy lift equipment
• Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and climb up and down ladders
• Extensive daily travel to work site locations
• Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment
