Job summary

HTS Engineering Ltd. is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair control systems at customer facilities in the Peabody, MA area.

The role includes service and preventive maintenance on assigned contracts, with regular communication on progress and issues. Ideal candidates bring 1–5 years of experience in building automation, deep knowledge of LON/BACnet/Modbus, and familiarity with major brands like Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, and Johnson Controls.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of work experience in building automation or related field.
• Knowledge of building automation systems.
• Experience with LON, BACnet and Modbus communications.
• Understanding of sequences of operations for boilers, chillers, AHUs, electrical equipment, motors, and other HVAC equipment.
• Experience with major control brands: Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Alerton, Distech, Siemens, Andover, Delta, or Schneider.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; proficient with Microsoft tools.

• Research and learn various controls systems as instructed
• Occasionally working with third-party contractors to accomplish a common goal
• Adhere to all active company safety policies

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-5 years of work experience in the building automation, mechanical industry or relevant work experience
• Knowledge in building automation systems
• Experience working with LON, BACnet and Modbus Communications
• Knowledgeable with sequence of operations for boilers, chillers, air-handling units, electrical equipment, motors, and other HVAC equipment
• Experience with Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Alerton, Distech, Siemens, Andover, Delta, or Schneider
