Job summary

Optimum RV LLC seeks an experienced RV Service Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain RV systems, ensuring safety and quality for customers. You will perform inspections, troubleshoot complex issues, and document labor and parts in our service management system.

Ideal candidates have RV system knowledge, strong reading and communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Certifications are preferred, with company benefits and a team-focused environment offered.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of RV electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to explain repairs to customers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; RV experience preferred.
• RVIA/RVDA certification or interest in RVIA courses (preferred).
• Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and warranty processes (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain RV systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and structure.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance on a variety of RVs.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs).
• Document work performed, parts used and labor time in the system.
• Communicate repair details to service advisors and customers.
• Keep tools and workspace clean, safe, and organized; follow safety policies.
• Remain current with industry standards and manufacturer bulletins.

Optimum RV is a premier RV dealership committed to providing quality service and a wide selection of recreational vehicles. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated RV Service Technician to join our service team and ensure our customers' RVs are maintained and repaired to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on a variety of recreational vehicles. The primary duties will include:

• Performing inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure RVs meet quality and safety standards before delivery to customers.
• Documenting all work performed, including parts used and labor time, in the dealership's service management system.
• Communicating with service advisors and customers to provide detailed explanations of repairs and maintenance work.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and technical bulletins.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
• All other responsibilities as assigned.
• Willing to learn all aspects of RV repairincluding house repairs
• Current certification (RVIA/RVDA/RVTI) OR interest in completing online training courses for RVIA certification

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; RV experience preferred.
• RVIA/RVDA certification or other relevant industry certifications (preferred)
• Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and software (preferred).
• Familiarity with warranty repair processes and documentation (preferred).
