Job summary

WOC Energy in Mansfield, PA is seeking a skilled propane service technician to install tanks and equipment in accordance with NFPA standards and local regulations. You will complete licensing, certifications, and ongoing training while maintaining your truck and completing service orders.

Must have a Class A or B CDL with tanker and Hazmat endorsements (or ability to obtain quickly), be able to lift up to 75 lbs, and work outdoors with an on‑call rotation.

• TSA clearance for Hazardous Materials is required.
• Lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install propane tanks and related equipment per NFPA 58/54 and regulations.
• Complete required state licensing and ongoing training.
• Perform DVIRs and maintain the delivery truck.
• Process service orders, documentation, and parts billing daily.
• Provide seasonal delivery support and on‑call rotation.
• Report incidents or safety concerns to the General Manager.
• Work outdoors in varied conditions and on‑call as needed.

Description

What You’ll Do

• Install propane tanks and related equipment in full compliance with NFPA 58/54 and all state/local regulations.
• Complete any required state licensing, certifications, and ongoing training.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (DVIR) and maintain your truck in excellent working condition.
• Complete accurate service orders, documentation, and parts billing each day.
• Provide seasonal delivery support by operating a delivery vehicle when needed.
• Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately to the General Manager.
• Work in varied outdoor conditions and participate in an on‑call rotation as business needs require.

What You’ll Actually Do in Your First 30 Days

• Shadow a senior technician to learn our safety standards, installation methods, and customer service expectations.
• Complete onboarding training for CDL endorsements, propane safety, and state‑specific compliance requirements.
• Begin performing supervised tank installations and equipment servicing to build proficiency with EDP processes.
• Learn our service order and documentation systems to complete work independently and accurately.

TSA Clearance Approved Hazardous Materials

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and participate in after‑hours on‑call rotation

Nice to Haves

• 2–3 years of experience in propane, HVAC, or related technical work
• Familiarity with propane systems, NFPA standards, and industry regulations
• Technical aptitude and willingness to learn propane installation practices
• Strong customer communication and professional presence
• Basic computer skills for service orders and documentation

Pay Rate for this role is $30-35 hourly (depending on experience)
