Thornhill CDJR in South Williamson, KY is seeking a dedicated Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safety and customer satisfaction.

You will use diagnostic tools and manufacturer guidelines to identify issues, perform routine maintenance, and communicate with customers about needed services. ASE/Ford/Chrysler certifications are preferred; experience with CHRYSLER dealership is a plus. A team-oriented shop offers growth and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• ASE Certification required; Ford/Chrysler dealership experience preferred.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and diagnose vehicle issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership requirements.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical and brakes.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor about additional services and estimated times.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and manufacturer guidelines.
• Repair or replace defective parts, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes.
• Communicate clearly with customers about vehicle status and necessary repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and participate in ongoing training sessions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Service Technician or Automotive Mechanic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required

• Ford Certification

• Previous experience at a CHRYSLER dealership is preferred

• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
