Job summary

Russell Barnett Ford of Tullahoma is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate holds ASE and Ford certifications and has a strong service technician background to diagnose and repair vehicles.

You will perform work on repair orders, test-drive vehicles with diagnostic tools, and communicate with the Service Advisor about needed repairs. This is a on-site role at our family-owned dealership that values teamwork, ongoing growth, and exceptional

Qualifications

• ASE Certification is required.
• Ford Certification is required.
• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience at a Ford dealership preferred.
• B level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Excellent customer service and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor so customers are informed if additional service is needed and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required

• Ford Certification

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred

• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
