Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems in Nashville is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and upgrade automated pedestrian doors at customer sites. You will handle electro-mechanical systems, low-voltage wiring, and maintain high customer satisfaction while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires the ability to lift heavy components, climb ladders, and participate in on-call rotations after certification. A valid driver's license and AAADM certification within 12 months are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with repair experience on electro-mechanical devices.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Able to obtain AAADM certification within 12 months of employment and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, break-fix, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors.
• Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
• Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 110 pounds with lifting aids, climbing ladders, and varied positions as required.

The Role:

As a Service Technician, you’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and reliable door solutions to our customers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
• Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds (with lifting aids) on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation; climbing ladders, kneeling, driving and working in various positions as required.

What You Will Need:

• Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21due to job‑related responsibilities.
• Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within twelve (12) months of employmentand maintain certification as required
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus)
• Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
