Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Mt Vernon, WA is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and service forklifts, loaders and related equipment at the Mt Vernon sawmill. The role requires safety‑driven work and accurate maintenance records, with opportunities for overtime during busy production times.

You will perform preventative maintenance on gas and propane powered equipment, follow safety rules, and contribute to a strong team focused on reliability and efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in mechanical maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
• Recent mechanic or service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintain gas and propane forklifts, loaders and related equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and keep maintenance records.
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Occasional heavy lifting and work in hot or cold environments.

Currently, we are seeking a qualified Service Technician to work collaboratively with our sawmill in Mt Vernon, Washington.

About the Position

• Safely and efficiently perform preventative and routine maintenance on both gas and propane forklifts, loaders, and other various equipment
• Conduct safety inspections of equipment and accurately maintain maintenance records
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
• There is occasional heavy lifting and working in both hot and cold environments
• Work may consist of various shifts, with some overtime and weekend work during busy production times

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of both gasoline and diesel engines
• Recent mechanic or service experience is preferred
• All applicants must be at least age 18
