Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Eugene, OR is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support our sawmill operations. You will service gas and propane forklifts, loaders, and other equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairs.

The role requires hands-on experience with gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, with a preference for fabrication and metal work. Overtime and weekend work may be required during busy production times.

Qualifications

• 5 years' recent experience on heavy equipment and related machinery
• Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, and/or electrical systems
• Preference for fabrication and metal work experience
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on forklifts, loaders, and other equipment
• Recognize, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical defects
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain maintenance records
• Perform duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
• Occasional heavy lifting and work in hot or cold environments
• Day and evening hours with potential overtime and weekend work during busy production times

About the Position

We are seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to work collaboratively with our sawmill in Eugene, Oregon.

Responsibilities
