Job summary

Job description

Role Description The Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Mount Prospect, IL. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing CNC and other machine tools at customer locations. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and documenting service activities clearly. The Service Technician will provide field service support, collaborate with engineering and sales teams on application solutions, and assist with machine demonstrations, training, and test cuts for customers. The role also involves responding to customer service requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues, and promoting safe work practices and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on industrial or CNC machinery.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues.
• Experience with Field Service work, including on-site installations, inspections, and service visits.
• Solid Customer Service abilities, with a focus on clear communication, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
• Hands-on Maintenance experience in a manufacturing, machine tool, or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals; basic computer literacy for service reports.
• Relevant technical education (e.g., associate degree, trade school, or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance or mechatronics).
