Job Description

Overview
The Service Technician will independently perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned agricultural and outdoor power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment.
• Conduct repairs in the field as needed.
• Develop a thorough understanding of all technology offerings.
• Ensure accurate billable time and detailed documentation of diagnostics and repairs.
• Participate in training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Complete all reports and forms related to work assignments.
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Mentor apprentices and junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding and experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in John Deere equipment.
• Experience with special tools and following technical manuals.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues.
• Experience with diagnostic tools like Service Advisor or equivalent.
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Proficient in operating diagnostic vehicles and equipment.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
