Responsibilities

• Understand chemical treatment of wells.
• Communicate issues and questions to immediate supervisor in a timely and thorough manner.
• Interact with customer and other field personnel to answer questions and resolve issues.
• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot field equipment in support of chemical treatment programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance/cleaning on pumps and trailers after daily use.
• Knowledge of valve and well pressures while on oilfield locations.
• Label tanks according to regulatory agency requirements.
• Use phone app-based system to log service visits, create shipping papers, and manage deliveries as needed.
• Perform tailgate analysis/failure reporting when necessary.
• Rig up equipment (gooseneck and/or bumper pull trailers).
• May be required to deliver chemicals when needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of chemical process in yard and field operations.
• Maintain company property in good order (equipment, tools, phones, trucks, etc.).
• Wear PPE/safety gear per company policy and stay current on safety techniques.

SUMMARY

The Service technician is required to have or be able to acquire a knowledge of specialty chemical products for use in oil and gas operations. The Service technician performs chemical treatment of oil wells, minor troubleshooting, and maintenance of the wells, and is the field representative to assist and answer customer questions or concerns.

• May be required to deliver chemicals when needed
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of chemical process and utilization in yard and field operations

• Keeps current on safety techniques and takes advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills
• Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE
