Job summary

Adams Chevrolet, Inc. is seeking a skilled automotive technician to join our on-site service team in Maryland. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, using diagnostic tools and test drives, while ensuring repairs meet manufacturer specifications.

Qualified candidates will have GM experience or familiarity, ASE certifications preferred, and a solid automotive background. A drug screen and background check are required, along with a clean, valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• GM experience or familiarity with GM vehicles.
• ASE certifications are ideal or preferred.
• Solid automotive background across systems.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Must be willing to undergo drug screening and background check.
• Clean and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work described on the repair order efficiently and per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify issues.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, etc.).
• Communicate with Service Advisor about needed additional repairs and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
