Job summary

Greenway Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to independently diagnose and repair customer and dealer-owned agricultural and outdoor power equipment. You will work in the field as needed, maintain thorough documentation, and stay current on John Deere and competitive products.

Expect safety-driven field service and ongoing skill development. Responsibilities include diagnosing complex issues, performing repairs, and mentoring apprentices while ensuring quality customer experiences

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in John Deere equipment.
• Experience with special tools and following Technical Manual procedures.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and use computer-based diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment.
• Performs repairs in the field as required.
• Develop a thorough understanding of all technology offerings.
• Accountable for billable time and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on repair orders.
• Participate in training programs required by Greenway Equipment to develop and advance skills.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Mentors Service Technician Apprentices and junior Service Technicians.
