Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and complete service requests including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and support day-to-day property upkeep.
• Complete make-readies and help maintain curb appeal and community appearance.
• Maintain interior and exterior areas in line with company standards, compliance requirements, and applicable laws.
• Respond quickly and professionally to service requests and resident concerns.
• Keep residents, office staff, and maintenance leadership updated on repairs and progress.

We're looking for a Service Technician with a "Whatever It Takes" mindset to join our maintenance team. In this full-time role, you'll help keep Boardwalk at Westlake Apartments — a 1,381-unit community — meeting company standards, resident expectations, and compliance requirements every day.

Compensation & Incentives:

• Base Pay: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour
• $1,200 Sign-On Bonus
• Up to 50% Rent Discount

• On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone

As the Service Technician, you will help to:

• Troubleshoot and complete service requests including, but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance and support day-to-day property upkeep
• Complete make-readies and help keep curb appeal and community appearance sharp
• Maintain interior and exterior areas in line with company standards, compliance requirements, and applicable laws
• Respond quickly and professionally to service requests and resident concerns
• Keep residents, office staff, and maintenance leadership in the loop on repairs and updates

We're after a well-rounded maintenance professional with real hands-on troubleshooting skills across multiple disciplines. HVAC/EPA/CFC certifications are preferred but not required — we'll support you in earning them.

Hours & Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Paid rotating on-call participation required
• Must be available and prepared for emergency events as needed
• *Schedule subject to change based on business needs
