Job summary

The Service Technician position in the Elkhart, KS area is open to applicants from September 22 to September 29, 2026. Responsibilities include maintaining electric service for members and restoring service on de-energized and energized lines at primary and secondary voltages.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with Journeyman Lineman Certification preferred or 6 years of related experience. Applicants must be at least 21 with a valid CDL.

• Journeyman Lineman Certification preferred, or minimum 6 years of experience constructing and maintaining overhead and underground distribution facilities.
• Must be 21 years of age with a valid Commercial Driver's License.
• Post-offer physical exam, drug test and background check are required.

Job description

The position of Service Technician (Elkhart, KS area) will open to applicants beginning September 22nd and will remain open through September 29, 2026. Maintains electric service for members by performing maintenance duties and restoring service on de-energized and energized lines at primary and secondary voltages.

Experience working on:

• Secondary voltage - 120 volts up to 480 volts
• Primary voltage - 2.4 kV up to 34.5 kV
• Transmission - 69 kV up to 115 kV

High school diploma or equivalent required. Journeyman Lineman Certification is preferred, or a minimum of six (6) years of work experience constructing and maintaining overhead and underground distribution facilities. Must be 21 years of age with a valid Commercial Driver's License.

Post-offer physical exam, drug test and background check are a condition of employment.
