Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join the Hallowell, ME service center. You will perform propane service, tank installation, and maintain safety standards while responding to emergencies as needed.

The role includes on-call rotations, tank inspections, and potential cross-training for bobtail deliveries. A CDL, relevant propane/OHVAC experience, and Hazmat endorsement are preferred. Compensation ranges from $30.00 to $35.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CDL Class A or B preferred or willingness to obtain within first year.
• 2-3 years propane/oil/HVAC service preferred.
• Hazmat/Tanker endorsement preferred.
• Maine Propane & Natural Gas Technician License or willingness to obtain.
• Legal Authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Identify and correct leaks from tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed.
• Rotate on call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Perform tank maintenance spare tanks located in the plants in preparation for putting them in service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Cross-trained to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed.
• Consistently communicate proactively with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers as necessary

What You’ll Do:

What you bring:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• CDL Class A or B or willingness to obtain within first year of employment in the position
• 2-3 years propane/oil/HVAC service preferred
• Hazmat/ Tanker endorsement preferred
• Maine Propane & Natural Gas Technician License or willingness to obtain
• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.

This role will be eligible for overtime pay once scheduled work week hours are met.

When applicable, this role is eligible for an on-call incentive stipend.

This position is also eligible for a quarterly/annual incentive program.
