LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids is seeking skilled service technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles to factory standards. You will handle diagnostics, perform repairs, and road-test vehicles to ensure customer concerns are resolved.

Receive repair orders and perform diagnostics and repairs efficiently and accurately in accordance with factory and dealership standards
Road-test vehicles before and after repairs to verify that the customer’s concern has been fully resolved
Notify the service advisor immediately when additional work is identified, work is unnecessary, or timelines are at risk
Coordinate with the Parts Department to obtain required components and properly tag and retain warranty parts
Document all work performed clearly and accurately on every repair order
Attend factory training and review Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) to stay current in the field
Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and maintain a safe, organized work area at all times
High School Diploma or GED required
Michigan Mechanic Certification required
ASE certification(s) preferred; compensation is tiered based on certifications and flagged hours
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
Strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
