HIAB USA is seeking a skilled field service technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and refurbishments on a range of equipment at assigned locations in Indiana. You will follow manager instructions, uphold safety standards, and report activities daily.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a DOT medical card (or ability to obtain one), and 3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience. Ownership of your own tools is expected.

Formación

• DOT medical card or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Valid driver's license required.
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two in two years.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations experience.
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Own tools required.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, service and troubleshoot equipment (forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, skiploaders and hoists) per manager instructions.
• Adhere to safety rules, working practices and environmental requirements.
• Stay updated with technical developments and complete required courses as directed.
• Respond to customer queries to maximize satisfaction and follow Hiab guidelines.
• Maintain records and submit daily reports in the prescribed format.
• Identify sales opportunities and report to District Service Manager.
• Coach junior colleagues and trainees as needed.
• Maintain a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow Quality System rules.

Your mission

To perform service, (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment) on equipment, at assigned Hiab locations in line with Managers instructions. Responsible for contributing to productive customer relationships as well as following Best Practice in all administrative and technical activities.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, perform service, troubleshoot (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment) on the following equipment: Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders and Hoists in line with Managers instructions
• Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
• Staying up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and completing technical courses when instructed by District Service Manager
• Respond to customers queries and concerns to maximize customer satisfaction and follow Hiab Customer Satisfaction Guidelines
• Keep adequate records, maintain documentation and submit daily reports in the format specified by the District Service Manager
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager
• Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary
• Conduct self at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow rules of the Quality System

What we are looking for

• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card is required for this position
• Valid Drivers License is required
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two year time frame. All violations will be reviewed
• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• 3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Own tools required
• Know, understand and comply with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
