Job summary

RW Mercer Co. seeks a Service Technician to calibrate fuel dispensing units, install and diagnose fuel dispensers, POS systems, and environmental monitoring equipment.

This role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong safety mindset, the ability to work outdoors year-round, and reliable attendance. Tasks include service, maintenance, and accurate documentation of work orders and time sheets.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate fuel dispensing units and diagnose/repair fuel dispensers.
• Install and maintain point of sale systems and environmental monitoring equipment.
• Ensure safety standards are followed and assist outdoors year‑round.
• Learn through knowledge of service stations equipment and repair procedures.
• Maintain vehicle inventory and complete work orders and time sheets accurately.
• Attend to customers professionally and maintain timely attendance.

R.W Mercer Co. is a family-owned construction and service company headquartered in Jackson, Michigan, with seven locations – six in Michigan and one in Indiana. The company operates in distinct areas of construction: petroleum contracting and service, general contracting, and electrical. In each area, R.W. Mercer provides a turn‑key approach that includes planning, design, construction, and installation as well as service, monitoring, and maintenance.

The Service Technician performs many tasks calibrating fuel dispensing units to installing and diagnosing/ repairing fuel dispensers, point of sales systems, environmental monitoring equipment and system communication.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
