Job summary

The Service Compliance Technician will perform inspections and testing of fueling and monitoring equipment at client sites, ensuring containment sumps are watertight and compliance standards are met. The role includes traveling to client sites, using testing devices and tools, and submitting paperwork promptly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel and stay out of town.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and testing of fueling and monitoring equipment at client sites.

R.W Mercer Co. is a family-owned construction and service company headquartered in Jackson, Michigan, with seven locations – six in Michigan and one in Indiana. The company operates in distinct areas of construction: petroleum contracting and service, general contracting, and electrical. In each area, R.W. Mercer provides a turn-key approach that includes planning, design, construction, and installation as well as service, monitoring, and maintenance.

The Service Compliance Technician will perform all inspections/testing required by the state to ensure all fueling and monitoring equipment at our client sites is operating properly and that all containment sumps are watertight. REQUIEMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all company safety practices and procedures according to applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and requirements.
• Utilize various testing devices, multiple hand and power tools related to the job. Maintain tools and equipment to ensure all are in proper and safe working order.
• Complete assigned compliance testing and submit all paperwork/forms in a timely manner.
• Communicate with all customers, fellow employees, and inspectors in a professional manner.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of company vehicles, supplies, equipment, and inventory.
• Any other duties or responsibilities, assigned.
• Must Have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Familiarity with operating a computer and an aptitude for learning computer skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able and willing to travel and stay out of town.
• Must be able and willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
