Sinclair Tractor is seeking an entry-level Service Technician in Fairfield, IA. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing John Deere agricultural and turf equipment, both in-shop and in the field, while mentoring technicians and participating in customer clinics.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred associate-level training in John Deere Ag Tech and basic safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
• Associates degree in John Deere Ag Tech or related 2 year degree and/or 2 years of relevant experience preferred
• Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment
• Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to work varying shifts, extended hours, and holidays
• Must have basic knowledge of equipment safety procedures

• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments

Purpose:

Independently performs complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment.
