Position SummaryThe Used Car Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet our quality and safety standards. Using advanced diagnostic equipment and industry best practices, the technician identifies mechanical and electrical issues and performs the necessary repairs and maintenance to prepare vehicles for retail sale. As with all positions within dealerships, service technicians are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.Major Essential DutiesPerform comprehensive inspections on used vehicles.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using diagnostic tools and equipment.Complete repairs and preventive maintenance efficiently and accurately.Perform multipoint inspections and document findings.Supervising and training apprentice or entry-level technicians.Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA laws.
