Job summary

Charles Gabus Ford is seeking a Service Technician to deliver exceptional automotive service. You will work with a team in a fast-paced environment, performing repairs and diagnostic testing to ensure high customer satisfaction.

The role requires ASE Certification, basic computer skills, and a valid Iowa driver's license with a clean record. Drug/background checks will be required. Training on new technology and diagnostic equipment is provided.

Qualifications

• ASE Certification required.

• Able to pass drug and background screening.
• Able to learn new technology and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance as specified on repair orders.
• Test drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to verify issues.
• Diagnose and repair automotive systems (engine, transmission, etc.).
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed work.
• Provide estimates of repair time.
• Perform warranty repairs per manufacturer specs.

Charles Gabus Ford is seeking a Service Technician who will provide our customers with exceptional service, has a strong background in automotives, and works well in a team. Ford makes customer service a top priority so candidates must be friendly, have a positive attitude, and maintain a professional appearance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership
• Test drive vehicles and testing components/systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc…)
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Sign on bonus:

• $500 after 30 days
• Additional $500 after 60 days

Requirements:

• ASE Certification
• Basic Computer skills
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply
• Have a valid Iowa Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Will submit to a drug and background screening prior to employment
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
