ITT Inc. in Cullman, Alabama is seeking a Manual Machinist to support our aftermarket repair and upgrade business in the Cullman PRO Services shop.

Building on pump design experience, PRO Services offers services to reduce total cost of ownership and increase plant output. The role requires reading blueprints, setting up machines, performing precision machining on lathes, mills and boring mills, and testing assembled components.

Responsibilities

Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, vertical turret lathe, horizontal boring mill, tool post grinder, and drill press.
Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.
Installs machined replacement parts in equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality.
Develops specifications from general description and draws sketch of part or product to be fabricated.

Position Summary

We are seeking aManual Machinistto support our aftermarket repair and upgrade business in our Cullman PRO Services shop located in Cullman, Al. Building on centuries of pump design experience, PRO Services provides an array of services focuses on reducing equipment total cost of ownership and increasing plant output, including condition monitoring, predictive maintenance contracts, field service, engineered upgrades, inventory management, and overhauls for pumps and other rotating equipment.

Essential Responsibilities

May include:

Applies appropriate machining processes to manufacture parts specified by work orders, blueprints, sketches or charts
