Job summary

First Choice Coffee Services is seeking a Service Technician to join our growing team. You will perform service on coffee brewing equipment, deliver customer training, complete paperwork, and manage parts inventory on a regular route.

A valid driver’s license and reliability are essential. We offer an hourly starting rate of $21, monthly bonus opportunities, and a full benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Past experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled service activities on coffee brewing equipment, including emergency service calls and preventive maintenance.
• Instruct customers on proper use of coffee equipment and respond to inquiries.
• Complete service calls and related paperwork accurately and timely.
• Maintain parts inventory for the service vehicle and inventory parts monthly.
• Refurbish and repair coffee equipment for customer sites.
• Prepare service orders, product disbursement sheets, inventory and parts records per First Choice policies.
• Ensure service vehicle maintenance is up-to-date and that the driver’s license is valid.
• Occasionally assume route driver duties or other deliveries as needed.
• Maintain and clean the service area; organize and receive parts.

What you'll be doing – The Role:

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled service activities on our coffee brewing equipment, including emergency service calls, preventive maintenance, installations, and equipment removals at customer locations.
• Instruct customers on the proper use of coffee equipment, respond to inquiries from customers about coffee equipment, and communicate customer inquiries to appropriate First Choice staff.
• Complete all service calls and related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain proper parts inventory for assigned service vehicle and inventory parts on a monthly basis.
• Refurbish and repair coffee equipment for use at customer sites.
• Prepare records such as service orders, product disbursement sheets, monthly inventory, and parts inventory in accordance with First Choice policies and procedures.
• Ensure that assigned service vehicle undergoes routine maintenance as needed, obey all traffic laws, and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Assume route driver duties during vacation, extended leave, or other absence of regular branch delivery drivers; perform other deliveries as needed.
• Maintain and clean the service area.
• Receive, organize, and maintain parts for equipment.
