Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a skilled Service Technician to support electric drive wheel loaders and drills across multiple open pit mine sites in the Southwest. The role requires a strong mechanical and electrical skillset to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mining or construction equipment experience.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and manuals.
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems common to mining and/or construction equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, service, and inspection of Komatsu Electric Wheel Loaders and Drills.
• Able to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on heavy equipment.
• Conduct field repairs at open pit mine sites.

Service Technician

Key Job Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, service, and inspection of Komatsu Electric Wheel Loaders and Drills
• Able to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on heavy equipment
  • 24V and high‑voltage systems (up to ~600‑700 volts)
  • Hydraulic systems (leak repair, pressure testing, pump setup)
• Conduct field repairs at open pit mine sites

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3+ years of mining or construction equipment‑related experience
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and manuals
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems common to mining and/or construction equipment
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
  • Drills
  • Electric wheel loaders (e.g., 1150‑2350 series)
