Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for supporting repair, warranty, punch list, maintenance, and installation work related to fencing, gates, and gate operator systems. This role requires a hands-on, problem-solving individual who can adapt to a wide variety of field situations and deliver high-quality workmanship. The position supports year-round operations, works closely with department leadership and service coordination, and plays a vital role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and quality standards for Complete Fence.

Core Accountabilities

Field / Installation Duties

• Perform repairs, warranty work, punch list items, and new installations for fencing, gates, and gate operator systems.
• Identify and correct quality issues, including items that are not level, square, aligned, or functioning properly.
• Diagnose field problems, determine practical solutions, and provide accurate repair recommendations for proposal development.
• Travel to customer sites as required, including occasional out-of-town assignments and potential future data center projects.
• Support year-round service operations, including emergency repairs and seasonal maintenance issues.
• Assist with fabrication and welding activities when service demand is lower.

Customer Relations & Operational Support

• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship, clear communication, and professionalism.
• Work alongside experienced technicians during training and assist with cross-functional service activities.
• Coordinate effectively with the Service Coordinator and leadership regarding scheduling, jobsite conditions, and material needs.

Qualifications: Minimum Required Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with gate operators and automated gate systems.
• Welding experience.
• Knowledge of electrical components and low-voltage systems.
• Experience with specialized gate hardware, self-closing hinges, electric strikes, mag locks, and related products.
• Construction, maintenance, or handyman-type background.
