Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Alexandria is seeking a motivated Service Technician to perform repairs and inspections on Mercedes-Benz vehicles at our Alexandria, Virginia location. You will test drive, diagnose, and repair systems such as engine, transmission, electrical, and brakes, communicating with the Service Advisor about additional service needs.

You will work under a group leader from day one, with a focus on quality, customer satisfaction, and adherence to dealership standards.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn and develop skills through hands-on and computer lead training.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Strong automotive background a plus.
• Willing to submit a drug screen & background check.
• Must have a clean & valid driver’s license.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C, etc.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional service needs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Work under the guidance of a group leader from day one.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service or repairs are needed.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Will work under the guidance of a group leader with work ranging from express maintenance to difficult diagnostic work from day one
