Job summary

Mazama Services is hiring Field Service Technicians to serve customers across North Alabama, including Huntsville, Birmingham, Decatur, Albertville, Gadsden, and Anniston. You’ll perform hands-on field work within your assigned track—water treatment, sewer/drain, excavation, or water clean-up/restoration—and diagnose issues while learning the systems involved.

• Must be dependable and coachable with a strong work ethic.

• Ability to meet schedule, physical and environmental requirements of the track accepted.
• Prior field service, plumbing, drain cleaning, water treatment, excavation, restoration, mechanical, or construction experience is helpful but not required for every track.

Responsibilities

• Work as a Field Service Technician serving customers and projects across North Alabama (Huntsville, Birmingham, Decatur, Albertville, Gadsden, Anniston).
• Perform hands-on field work within assigned track (water treatment, sewer/drain, excavation, or water clean-up/restoration).
• Diagnose problems, operate tools/equipment, and learn how residential and field-service systems work.
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers, explaining field conditions accurately.
• Maintain accurate documentation and take ownership of assigned equipment and follow-through.
• Follow safety procedures and track-specific technical standards.
• Meet physical/environmental requirements, including lifting up to 75 pounds and working around wastewater/demolition.

• Approximately 40 hours per week, generally during weekday daytime hours, with technicians typically arriving at their first job by 8:00 a.m. and wrapping up around 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Your New Role

• Work as a Field Service Technician serving customers and projects throughout North Alabama, which includes Huntsville, Birmingham, Decatur, Albertville, Gadsden, and Anniston, AL markets.

• Perform hands-on field work within your assigned water treatment, sewer and drain, excavation, or water clean-up/restoration track.

• Diagnose problems, operate appropriate tools and equipment, and learn how residential and field-service systems work.

• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers, including explaining field conditions accurately without exaggeration or pressure.

• Maintain accurate documentation and take ownership of assigned equipment and follow-through.

• Follow company safety procedures and role-specific technical standards.

• Meet the physical and environmental requirements of your assigned track, which may include lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds and working around wastewater, mud, demolition, or contaminated conditions.

• Depending on your role, schedules generally follow weekday daytime hours, with some positions requiring occasional overtime, weekend work, or rotating on-call/emergency coverage.

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
