Job summary

Zimmer Biomet is seeking a skilled repair technician in Abilene, TX to diagnose malfunctions, repair medical electro-mechanical products, and support customers with technical service documentation. You will use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies, following GMP and FDA rules, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

The role requires 2+ years in electronics troubleshooting, the ability to train others, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• HSD (or equivalent) and 2+ years of experience troubleshooting using basic electronic test equipment, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Must be detail oriented, able to read, understand and follow detailed procedures.
• Must have proven ability to meet workmanship standards relative to soldering techniques, use of hand tools and test equipment.
• Must be able to train technicians in the performance of repairs within the department.
• Must have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions, perform tests, and follow technical manuals to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and replace faulty materials.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to repair manufacturing machines and Medical Devices.
• Understanding computer programs and learning the use of software used to document customer repairs. Ability to learn to maintain accurate device history files in approved systems.
• Communicate the repair performed in customer letters and provide basic technical support with customers on the phone.

Your Background

This roles annual salary expectation is set at $55,000.- $60,000 + annual bonus
