Job summary

Diamond B Compressor & Hydraulics, LLC in Abbeville, LA is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician with solid mechanical and electrical skills to install, service, troubleshoot and repair industrial air compressors, dryers and related equipment in factories, labs, and marine facilities.

The role requires two years of mechanical/electrical experience, ability to read diagrams, knowledge of 3-phase systems, PLC/Relay basics, and strong computer skills; teamwork and safety culture are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of mechanical/electrical experience.
• Troubleshooting of electrical and pneumatic controls.
• Experience working with 3-phase electric, drive motors, conductors, and circuit protection, sizing, and installation of conduit, enclosures, breakers, transformers, motor starters, etc. Understanding of Ladder Logic (PLC/Relay).
• Reading wiring, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams. Experience with pressure switches, transducers, temperature probes, current monitors, phase monitors, and other feedback devices.
• Equipment installation or other millwright work.
• Computer skills are a must
• General PM tasks (filters, oil change, grease, belts, hoses, etc.)

• Assist with preventative maintenance for dockside vessel repair and barge hose replacement. Assist the marine department in different aspects of maintenance and repairs that we provide to our marine accounts.

Our company is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician who possesses mechanical abilities with Single & 3 Phase electric with electrical controls experience. This individual must also possess general mechanical abilities as well. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team with ambition and pride in their work.

The Compressor Equipment we work on is typically located in factories, refineries, food processing facilities, pharmaceutical plants, dealerships, and laboratories, both indoors and outdoors.
