Position Overview

The Service Technician ensures the proper operation of customers’ heating/air conditioning systems in a residential environment. Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, performing repairs or replacements, managing repair costs, maintaining tools and inventory, and responding to emergency situations.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate with Dispatch and management to ensure timely and accurate work order completion.
  2. Diagnose HVAC system malfunctions and identify repair needs.
  3. Repair HVAC systems and related equipment to ensure proper operation.
  4. Manage repair costs and minimize inefficiencies.
  5. Achieve performance goals such as first-time fixes and customer service standards.
  6. Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment, ensuring safety and availability.
  7. Manage inventory and ensure availability of necessary parts and equipment.
  8. Perform renovation and preventive maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
  9. Respond to emergency situations to resolve safety concerns.
  10. Transport tools, equipment, and supplies to job sites.
  11. Work independently and communicate effectively with customers.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong residential HVAC experience preferred.
  • Universal EPA Certification with 1-3 years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Experience with residential and light commercial HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic equipment and data entry.
Physical Requirements

Must meet physical demands such as lifting up to 15 pounds, using hands and fingers for tasks, and visual acuity. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
