Job summary

Bayway Auto Group in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Service Tech Level 1 to join the Cadillac of The Woodlands service team. You will diagnose engines and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and communicate repair needs with customers.

The role requires 3+ years of automotive repair experience, GM/Bumper-to-bumper expertise, and safety-conscious work habits. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• GM Experience; bumper to bumper.
• Proven experience as auto technician.
• At least 3+ years’ experience in Automotive Repair.
• Valid ASE Certification is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles.
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• CDK experience preferred.
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift).
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
• Inspect vehicle computers and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
• Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
• Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use.
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks).
• Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
• Keep logs on work/repairs.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.

Position Summary

Essential Duties include but are not limited to:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Relevant Work Experience & Other Requirements :

• Must meet dealerships requirements for employment which include background check and drug screening
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable based on driving record.
• Must have minimum of three years of driving history
• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
• Must be punctual and reliable
