Job description

Scope of Work

Repair and overhaul of industrial natural gas engines.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  1. Have a good understanding of gas engine tune-up.
  2. Perform component overhaul and repair.
  3. Conduct proper disassembly of engines.
  4. Perform small engine repairs.
  5. Maintain neatness and organization in the workspace.
  6. Perform cylinder head overhauls.
  7. Use measurement and test equipment proficiently.
  8. Complete all jobs safely and proficiently.
  9. Clean the workspace after each job.
  10. Participate in training opportunities offered by the company.
  11. Promote good welfare among the company and its divisions.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  1. At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  2. GED, High School Diploma, trade school, or special service training preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Knowledge of gas engine repair and related business objectives.
  2. Ability to meet goals and conform to company policies.
  3. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (if driving company vehicle).
  4. Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing as per DOT requirements.
  5. Computer literacy in Windows environment (MS Office preferred).
  6. Dependability and ability to work independently.
  7. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (if required).
  8. Ability to bend and twist frequently.
  9. Flexible hours and days.
  10. Good client relations and professional appearance.
  11. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  12. Willingness to travel and stay overnight.
  13. Strong troubleshooting skills.
  14. Ability to operate basic shop equipment.
  15. Ability to obtain advanced manufacturing certifications.
  16. Protect company assets and interests.
Working Conditions
  1. Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with weekend hours as needed.
  2. Outside work as required.
