Job summary

Tunkhannock Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safety and satisfaction.

You will use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot vehicle issues, perform transmission and engine repairs, and communicate timelines with customers and service managers. The role requires attention to safety, record-keeping, and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• ASE certification preferred.
• State and emissions certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot vehicle issues using specialized tools and equipment.

Tunkhannock Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various automotive issues, performing routine maintenance and inspections, while ensuring satisfaction and safety.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot vehicle issues using specialized tools and equipment.
• Transmission and engine repairs
• Suspension and steering repairs
• Warranty and recall repairs
• Follow manufacturer specifications and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of service history, parts, and inventory.
• Communicate with customers, services advisors, and service managers on timeline for repairs and maintenance.
• Provide estimates or recommendations for repairs and maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• ASE Certification preferred.
• State and Emissions certification.
• Automotive Service Technician experience required.
• Proficient in using tools and equipment for automotive repair.
• Knowledge of various makes and models of vehicles.
• Ability to work under limited supervision
• Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday
• 8:00am-4:30pm
• Full Time
