Job summary

BFC Solutions is seeking a Service Technician in the Portland, ME area. The role involves traveling to commercial sites to perform HVAC filter service and basic preventive maintenance, with overnight travel possible.

No HVAC experience is required. Training is provided, and candidates should be mechanically inclined, dependable, and able to work independently in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.

BFC Solutions is hiring a Service Technician in the Portland, ME area starting at $24-25/hour, with overtime opportunities, paid training, a take-home company vehicle, weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement. Overnight travel may be required approximately one to two weeks per month, typically Monday through Thursday nights, within your assigned region.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in maintenance, warehouse or yard operations, construction, roofing, pest control, cable installation, utility work, delivery/route service, equipment operation, or other hands-on work who is ready to build a career in the skilled trades.

You will travel to commercial customer locations such as Walmart, Walgreens, Dollar General, and other facilities throughout your assigned territory to perform scheduled HVAC filter service and basic preventive maintenance.

Your day will include:

• Driving an assigned route in your company vehicle
• Performing basic preventive maintenance and inspections
• Working independently at customer locations
• Using a smartphone to receive and complete work orders
• Working on commercial rooftops and using ladders
• Loading and organizing filters, tools, and supplies

We provide the training! We are looking for someone dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working independently, and ready to learn.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Comfortable using ladders and working at heights up to 36 feet
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools

• Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings

Travel & Schedule

This is a full-time, route-based position with early morning starts and opportunities for overtime.

Overnight travel may be required approximately one to two weeks per month, typical Monday through Thursday nights, within your assigned region. During overnight travel weeks, employees receive an additional $25 per day, plus applicable overtime.
