Job summary

Sunset Heating/Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to join our Portland-area team. You will inspect, repair and optimize HVAC systems, providing clear explanations to customers and promoting best-fit solutions.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of HVAC service experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Professional and pride in work and appearance.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and work outdoors.
• Willing to pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Clean, adjust and repair HVAC systems and components.
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
• Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and OSHA.
• Track repairs and work completed in Service Titan.
• Inform customers of issue, solution and outcome; recommend products and services.

What You'll Do:

• Clean, adjust and repair HVAC systems- reheat coils, air handling units, duct work, vents, condensation drainage
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems and equipment to diagnose
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems
• Identifymaintenance risks on equipment
• Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Track repairs and work completed in trade software, Service Titan
• Engage with customer/client to inform them of issue, solutionand outcome; recommend products and services for optimalsystem performance

What You'll Bring:

• 1+ years of HVAC service experience preferred
• An outstanding work ethic with excellent customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
• Professionalism, you take pride in your work and your appearance
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and work outdoors
• Willing to submit to and pass pre-employment background check and drug test
