Job summary

Gilchrist Automotive seeks a skilled Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, perform multi-point inspections, and handle warranty work with safety at the forefront. The role covers transmissions, cooling systems, and engine components, ensuring timely delivery of serviced vehicles while maintaining meticulous notes and a clean workspace.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of dealership experience, automotive certifications, and a safety-first, team-oriented attitude, with full-time availability

Qualifications

• Full-time availability.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• 2–3 years of dealership experience a plus.
• Automotive certificate a plus.
• ASE certificates a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend safe, on-target fixes.
• Perform multi-point inspections and warranty repairs.
• Service transmissions, A/C, engine mounts, timing belts, etc.
• Replace radiators and head gaskets as needed.
• Deliver guests’ cars on time, every time.
• Take detailed notes during and after inspections.
• Keep workstation clean at all times.
• Build loyal service guest relationships.
