Qualifications

• Must become a member of the UA Local Union 669 Road Sprinkler Fitters.
• Texas RME-I license preferred.
• Service experience preferred.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Willing to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to climb ladders.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain fixed extinguishing systems, including underground piping.
• Troubleshoot wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems.
• Troubleshoot dry sprinkler air compressors.
• Tenant improvement remodel work including adding and relocating sprinklers.
• Sprinkler system pipe changes outs.
• Install and service other fire protection equipment such as standpipes and foam systems.
• Travel within Texas to work on various locations/job sites.
• Comply with union collective bargaining agreement.

Sprinkler Fitters are pipefitting specialists in the fire protection industry and Western States Fire Protection is seeking qualified applicants for this position.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain all types of fixed extinguishing systems, including underground piping
• Troubleshoot and repair wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems
• Troubleshoot dry sprinkler air compressors
• Tenant improvement remodel work including adding and relocating sprinklers
• Sprinkler system pipe changes outs
• Responsible for installing and servicing a variety of other fire protection equipment such as standpipes, foam systems and other systems.
• Travel within the states of Texas to work on various locations/job sites as necessary
• Comply with union collective bargaining agreement

Job Qualifications
