Job description

Suzano is a leading provider of sustainable pulp and paper products, transforming renewable raw materials into everyday goods used by billions worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Perform a 90‑day probation period with rotation across departments to fill vacancies.
• Inspect all work products before departure from the department.
• Execute all assigned tasks as directed, maintaining a rapid and safe continuous pace.
• Comply with all safety rules, regulations, and policies, and wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, side shields, hearing protection, aprons, harnesses, safety‑toed shoes, gloves, reflective vest).
• Visually inspect paper and manually handle heavy paper and paper products.
• Stand and/or walk for 12–16 hours and lift up to 50 pounds; walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs and ladders, kneel, twist, push, and pull with full body mechanics.
• Reach at or below shoulder height, occasionally above shoulder height.
• Work with other crew members, with occasional independent work under minimal supervision.
• Schedule rotating twelve‑hour shifts; overtime, weekend work, and sixteen‑hour shifts as required. The operation runs continuously, including holidays.
• Communicate verbally and in writing, and operate computers using safety and production related programs.
• Climb tall vessels and work on elevated work areas; perform all additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 24 months or more of industrial, factory, or manufacturing experience (preferred).
• High school graduate or General Education Diploma (required).
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
• Successfully pass structured panel interviews, drug screening, and background checks.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing at least 20 pounds regularly.
• Stand, walk, and climb ladders, stairs, or scaffolding for extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive motions such as typing or operating machinery.
• Navigate various surfaces and confined spaces.
• Work in outdoor or indoor conditions with exposure to precipitation, wind, or variable temperatures.
