A mechanical service company in Mount Crawford, VA is seeking a Service Special Projects Technician 2. Responsibilities include installing and commissioning HVAC equipment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Candidates must have a Universal Refrigerant Certificate or be willing to obtain one, along with 1-3 years of HVAC installation experience. Strong mechanical skill and effective communication are essential for this role.

Competenze

• Must hold a Universal Refrigerant Certificate or be willing to obtain.
• 1-3 years’ experience of HVAC Installation.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Mansioni

• Install, startup and commission commercial/industrial HVAC equipment.
• Follow and adhere to all company safety requirements and processes.
• Wire both low and line voltage to cooling and heating equipment.
• Wire both low and line voltage to cooling and heating equipment.
• Pre-measure jobs to determine material requirements.
• Receive and transport materials to the job site and confirm accuracy.
• Complete required job documentation in a timely manner.

Primary Purpose of this position:

Install, startup and commission commercial/industrial HVAC equipment.

Specific Job Duties:

• Follow and adhere to all company safety requirements and processes
• Install per manufacturer specifications and company policies:
  • Manual dampers and supporting hardware
  • Flex and sheet metal ductwork and associated duct fittings in light commercial and residential buildings
  • Copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering
  • HVAC related equipment including split systems and roof top units up to 20 tons
• Design/draw necessary duct fittings in the field to facilitate installation
• Wire both low and line voltage to cooling and heating equipment
• Pre-measure jobs to determine material required for installation
• Receive material and equipment required for each job, confirm accuracy and transport to job site
• Ensure proper installation of gas line connections to heating equipment
• Complete readings on machines and take necessary steps based on readings
• Accurately complete required job documentation in a timely manner
• Work with other team members and departments to meet job/project deadlines and specifications

Formal education, certifications and/or experience required:

• Must hold a Universal Refrigerant Certificate or be willing to obtain
• 1-3 years’ experience of HVAC Installation
