Corewell Health in Royal Oak, MI is seeking a Facility Operations Help 1 - Corporate to receive service requests for hospital facilities and equipment, enter them into the CMMS, prioritize problems, and route to technicians. Primary hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with shifts possibly adjusting to 8:30 a.m.
to 5 p.m. You will communicate with customers and technicians about work order status, maintain asset records, and help update maintenance schedules as needed.
Receives customer requests for service on hospital facilities and equipment. Main responsibilities will include taking customer calls for work order requests for biomed and facilities and support services maintenance and recording in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) as well as triaging web requests. Some duties for maintaining asset records and updating maintenance schedules will be assigned as needed. Assesses and prioritizes problem, creates work order and routes to appropriate technician. Maintains work order system. Communicates with customers and technicians regarding work order status. Main work hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. though hours may shift depending on coverage to 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Acts as initial contact point for incoming requests for service or maintenance related to hospital facilities and equipment. Receives requests from external customers and internal employees via telephone, voicemail, fax and e-mail. Gathers information to assess customer’s need, prioritizes the reported problem, and enters request into work order system. Creates accurate work orders and routes to appropriate shop or department in a timely manner. Answers customer questions regarding status of work orders. Issues specialty work orders (Shutdowns, RSI, SMAP, Move) Contacts outside vendors for service requests on equipment covered by service contracts. Consistently uses tools and equipment appropriately on the job. Maintains and contributes to a safe work environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Moderate level of medical terminology and data entry experience.
