Job summary

Medworks Surgical Inc. is seeking a Service Representative to support surgical procedures and equipment operations across the greater Christiansburg, VA area.

This field-based role requires daily travel between hospitals and surgery centers and involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting medical equipment during procedures to ensure safe, efficient patient care. The incumbent will provide real-time OR support, assist staff with equipment use, maintain records, and comply with infection

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and test medical lasers and surgical equipment before procedures.
• Operate equipment during procedures to ensure proper functionality and safe use.
• Perform basic maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Provide real-time technical support in the operating room.
• Assist surgical staff with proper equipment use.
• Respond promptly to clinical needs in fast-paced environments.
• Track assigned equipment and disposable inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, service activity, and procedures.
• Ensure documentation supports billing and compliance requirements.
• Follow infection control, aseptic technique, and patient safety protocols.
• Maintain a compliant and safe operating environment.
• Adhere to all facility policies and credentialing requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support service delivery.
• Maintain professional working relationships with clinical staff.

About The Role

Medworks is seeking a Service Representative to support surgical procedures and equipment operations at healthcare facilities across the greater Christiansburg, VA, area. This is a field-based role requiring daily travel between hospitals and surgery centers. The Service Representative works directly in clinical environments to set up, operate, and troubleshoot medical equipment during surgical procedures, helping ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

Equipment Setup & Operation

• Install, set up, and test medical lasers and surgical equipment before procedures
• Operate equipment during procedures to ensure proper functionality and safe use
• Perform basic maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting

Clinical Support

• Provide real-time technical support in the operating room
• Assist surgical staff with proper equipment use
• Respond promptly to clinical needs in fast-paced environments

Inventory & Documentation

• Track assigned equipment and disposable inventory
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, service activity, and procedures

Schedule & Travel

• Monday–Friday schedule with variable start and end times
• Frequent early mornings based on surgical schedules
• Daily local travel between Christiansburg-area healthcare facilities
• Work is performed primarily in hospitals and clinical environments

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000
