Job summary

Meyer Ace Hardware in Petoskey, MI seeks an outgoing counter associate to welcome customers in person and over the phone at our North Store.

You will assist with service and rental needs, tool rentals, parts lookup, and ordering, and you'll stay on your feet most of the shift.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience and strong communication are required.
• Familiarity with small engine terminology is a plus.
• Willingness to learn hardware basics and train on store systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers in person and on the phone for service and rental needs.
• Assist with tool rentals and parts lookup or ordering.
• Assist customers with parts lookup and ordering; operate at the counter and on the sales floor.
• Stand for most of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Job description

We are seeking an outgoing, friendly, and helpful team member to welcome and assist customers both in person and on the phone in our Service & Rental Counter at our North Store located in Petoskey. This person needs to have excellent communication skills and have previous experience working in a retail setting. General knowledge of small engine repair terminology is desired. You bring your enthusiasm and helpful attitude, and we will provide you with the hardware training you will need.

What to expect:

• You'll be working directly with customers welcoming them in person and on the phone with their service and rental needs.
