Job summary

Hayes Ace Hardware & Rental is hiring a Small Engine Mechanic to service outdoor equipment and help neighbors keep their gear running smoothly.

You will work in a friendly team, perform repairs, provide product knowledge, and assist with rental fleet maintenance. Prior small engine experience and a willingness to learn are valued. This is a standard in-store role with opportunities for growth and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and hardware store environment preferred.
• Familiarity with small engine repair and basic diagnostics is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor/indoor setting and provide friendly, helpful service.

Responsibilities

• Provide safet y-first service and exceptional customer experiences.
• Assist DIY and professional customers with repairs and equipment operation guidance.
• Check in/out repairs, perform basic maintenance checks and diagnostics.
• Assist in selling new small engine equipment and educating customers.
