Job summary

Lorain County Metro Parks is seeking a full-time park enforcement/maintenance officer to render aid, information, and services to visitors while protecting park lands and facilities in compliance with state laws.

The role enforces park rules, carries out maintenance duties, and may require working nights and weekends. Applicants must be at least 21, pass a background check, and hold a valid Ohio driver’s license; tobacco-use policy applies for new hires.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Peace Officer Training certification and valid Ohio driver’s license.
• Education and work experience in the field of natural resources is preferred.
• One year’s experience in law enforcement (park-related experience preferred) or equivalent.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age and are subject to an extensive background investigation.
• Applicants must be available to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
