Job summary

Riverchase Kia in Pelham, AL is hiring an experienced Service Porter to greet customers, coordinate with the Service Department, and help move vehicles on the lot. This full-time position requires a positive attitude and dependable team member who can work in a non-climate controlled environment.

Responsibilities include verifying appointments, assisting with loaner vehicles, delivering keys and repair orders, maintaining a clean service area, and supporting service staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience as a valet or knowledge of automotive servicing is a must.
• Able to drive both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles.
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance; strong customer service skills.
• Willing to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Verifies customer appointments and relevant information (name, VIN, etc.).
• Assists with loaner vehicles and parks vehicles after they have been written up.
• Installs protective coverings and tags in vehicles brought in for service.
• Delivers keys and repair orders to the Service Advisor after parking.
• Retrieves vehicles for customers and thanks them for their business.
• Maintains a clean and safe service area; performs general cleaning.
• Follows all safety and security procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
